Scratch Day 2010 in Rehovot, Israel
The Scratch Programming Environment is a great place to begin learning how to program for children starting from elementary school. As it has gained popularity among its global community, Scratch Day events are also held all over the world. One in particular was held recently at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel.
There were 21 Scratch projects submitted for this day from middle school and a handful of elementary school students all over Israel of various nationalities. Out of this pool, 4 were selected for the distinction of originality. TeachMeProgramming.com is happy to announce that one its students won this prize. The winning Scratch project is a simulation of a desktop computer demonstrating the various programs seen through the eyes of a nine year old.
